The Assistance League® of Whittier’s started the Continuing Education Scholarship program in 1981. It has changed over the years.
We began providing Scholarships for single parent college students attending Rio Hondo College or Whittier College needing financial assistance to pay for education-related expenses. Children needed to be under the age of 18.
The program aims to assist students in providing a better life for themselves by earning a degree.
Today, our scholarship program financially assists deserving Whittier area high school seniors attending college.
Applications are available in the school’s career counseling office each year beginning in March.
